The competition was fierce as the first live results show of America’s Got Talent Season 21 revealed which standout acts would continue their journey toward the grand prize!
After 11 acts took the stage during the first night of the Quarterfinals, viewers had the power to vote for their favorites. When the results were finally revealed, Olivia Befus, Royal Lasers and rapper LukeTaleno emerged as the three fan-favorite acts advancing to the Semifinals.
But there was one act that didn’t have to wait for America’s vote! Magic group Hundred Fingers received a major game-changing moment when judge Howie Mandel hit his Live Golden Buzzer, sending the talented group straight past the Semifinals and into the Finals!
Before revealing the results, host Terry Crews looked back at the previous night’s performances, including Simon Cowell’s strong reaction to James & Marina and Mel B.’s confusion over Sando’s unique dance routine. Simon later admitted that after watching the episode back, he may have been a little too quick with that red buzzer for James & Marina. He also shared that he enjoyed CommUNITY ATL’s performance even more when watching it from home.
As the night continued, the competition quickly narrowed down to the Top 5. Olivia Befus advanced over mentalist duo James & Marina, while Luke Taleno secured his spot over Atlanta dance group CommUNITY ATL. Royal Lasers also moved forward, sending Ashford Sanders home. The final showdown came down to singer Brook Lynn and comedian Cris Sosa, with Cris earning the last place in the Top 5 while Brook Lynn’s journey came to an end.
And of course, we have to talk about the fashion! Judge Mel B. brought the color and the drama in a vibrant fuchsia pink Solace London Neve Mini Dress. The eye-catching off-the-shoulder design featured a dramatic draped panel, a sleek bodycon silhouette and a bold wide neckline that made for a fabulous television fashion moment.
Between the emotional eliminations, surprise twists, Golden Buzzer excitement and Mel B.’s fabulous pink fashion, the first AGT live results show definitely brought the drama!
