Bahama Breeze Island Grille is kicking off Viva La ‘Rita, a two-month long celebration of tequila, limes and good times, beginning on National Margarita Day, February 22. Concluding with a Cinco de Mayo bash on May 5, Viva La ‘Rita will include special events each Friday, live music, giveaways and, of course, plenty of margaritas.
Just in time for National Margarita Day, Bahama Breeze is shaking things up by introducing four fresh takes on the classic cocktail. Each new margarita starts with fresh squeezed limes and lemons and crushed sugar cane. The Classic is perfect for margarita purists, hand-shaken and made with Jose Cuervo tequila. Take it up a notch with the Top Shelf, made with 1800 Silver tequila and Cointreau. For truly adventurous margarita-lovers Bahama Breeze created The Ultimate Margarita, featuring Patron tequila, Cointreau and a frozen shot of Grand Marnier floating in the drink, and the Ultimate Coronarita which includes a seven-ounce Coronita.
“What better way to say goodbye to winter, than a celebration of the world’s favorite warm weather cocktail – the margarita?” said Michael Kneidinger, president of Bahama Breeze. “Viva La ‘Rita is a ten-week celebration of cocktails and good times that is sure to put a little sunshine in your smile.”
The limes will be plenty and the tequila flowing on Friday nights during Viva La ‘Rita. Each Friday, Bahama Breeze will turn up the heat and host parties with live music, fresh island cocktails and giveaways in every restaurant. Viva La ‘Rita will wrap up on Tuesday, May 5 with a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Throughout Viva La ‘Rita guests can enter to win prizes by sharing their Bahama Breeze experience on Instagram or Twitter using hashtag #VivaLaRita. Each week, five winners will receive a Bahama Breeze gift card and a Viva La ‘Rita t-shirt and one grand prize winner will receive a $200 Bahama Breeze gift card for an Island Party for up to 10 friends.
