Hey you guys! Its been a minute since I did any blogging tips but wanted to share with you something I just had done. I updated my media kit and boy did it need a makeover! As your blog grows like I know it will, you are eventually going to have to send a media kit out for potential sponsors and brands. Come inside to check out how I put my new media kit together designed by me and my graphic designer Sara Noto. It took a few months but we finally got it done.

Some may ask, why do I need to have a media kit? First off, it looks way more professional. Plus brands will know that you take blogging seriously. Also, Instead of you sending out a long email with all your accomplishments with a lot of links,  you can easily just send them over a pdf of all your information in a snap. Try as much as you can to make it look clean, short and sweet, a reflection of you & your personality and you should be good to go. When I send over my media kit to brands, usually 9 times out of 10, I get the job or campaign!

Put in your media kit brands that you have worked with big or small. I also added where my readers come from. My top cities and countries are good to have. If you take a look in your Google Analytics, all of this information is provided there. Put your most recent brand and sponsored campaigns too. Adding links to pretty images of what you’ve done with good information/recaps work great. Look how Sara added mine to my pdf with hyper links.

Lastly, I added fun campaigns that I work on, awards, tv appearances, magazine features and more. If you’re a newbie blogger, this takes time to build but as you get more opportunities please don’t forget to add. I also put my famous blogger luncheons that really interest potential sponsors, who may want to add items for goody bags. Make your media kit fun, inviting, interesting and don’t forget how the brand/sponsor can contact you. If you’re still having trouble and my sample media kit is a bit confusing to you, by all means look around on the internet to see how others did theirs. I’m sure you will find something that suits you and your brand just fine! Till next time!  If you have any questions, leave me a comment below! xoxo
