Brandy’s New Book Phases A Memoir

Hanover Square Press just announced that Brandy Norwood the iconic, multiplatinum, GRAMMY Award® winning performer is dropping her memoir, PHASES, on March 31, 2026. This book promises an intimate look at her extraordinary life and career. The deal was sealed by Executive Editor John Glynn of Hanover Square Press, who acquired world rights through CAA.

In PHASES, Brandy takes us on a journey from her roots singing in McComb, Mississippi churches to becoming an R&B legend, pop culture staple, and celebrated actress. From snagging her first record deal at 14, going platinum by 15, and leading the hit sitcom Moesha, her rise was nothing short of meteoric. She made history as Disney’s first Black princess in Cinderella alongside Whitney Houston, all while creating the blueprint for the teenage “it” girl. But behind the fame, Brandy faced intense pressure to uphold a perfect image.

For the first time, she’s pulling back the curtain sharing the real story behind the highs, the lows, and the resilience it took to find her voice as a woman, mother, and artist. Brandy opens up about everything from bullying and body dysmorphia to heartbreak, love, mental health, spirituality, and competition.

At its core, PHASES is Brandy’s raw and inspiring testament to resilience, healing, and self-discovery.

Brandy shared her excitement, saying: “I am so excited to finally share my full story in book form. This memoir is the result of countless hours of reflection, work and healing. I hope readers will find comfort and inspiration in these pages.”
