Hilary Duff recently stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to celebrate her new album Luck…or Something, and while the conversation was full of nostalgic moments, it was her effortlessly chic style that truly stole the spotlight.
The singer and actress delivered a performance of her latest track, “Roommates,” but it was her dreamy wardrobe that had everyone talking. On March 9, Duff graced the late-night stage in a semi-sheer white gown that felt both ethereal and daring. Featuring delicate transparent paneling and artfully placed ruching, the dress hugged her silhouette with a subtle “wet-look” effect. The asymmetrical neckline and thigh-high slit added a dramatic touch, perfectly showcasing her gleaming silver stilettos. Duff completed the look with a minimalist silver bangle and glossy, beachy waves that gave her an effortlessly fresh, just-stepped-off-the-shore glow.
Later in the show, Duff changed into a gauzy black dress with delicate spaghetti straps, pairing it with sleek pointed-toe pumps for the interview portion of the evening. Chatting with host Jimmy Fallon, she opened up about her new music and took a few fan questions. When asked to name her favorite on-screen love interest, Duff sweetly chose Chad Michael Murray, her co-star in the beloved early-2000s rom-com A Cinderella Story. “I just watched it with my daughter,” Duff shared with a smile. “She always wants to watch it.”
She also reminisced about growing up watching the Mary‑Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, revealing that the iconic twins were essentially her version of Lizzie McGuire growing up.
