Disney Parks, Experiences and Products in collaboration with Disney On The Yard invited me out to a media luncheon where they brought the Disney magic to me here in ATL!
During the luncheon, I got to learn their latest offerings at their theme parks, aboard their cruise ships, and newest products complete with some fun surprise photo opps and special guests. That included Drum Major Mickey and an appearance from Princess Tiana! I also got filled in on what’s happening with Disney Dreamers Academy and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a new attraction coming to Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland in California next year.
And there was more! The event then moved to Disney on the Yard’s “AUC Yard Takeover” — a block party style event for Atlanta Clark University, Spelman College, Morehouse College students and other neighboring schools. Taking place ahead of this year’s annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge football game, I was invited to join in on the fun and mix it up with a DJ, band performances, food trucks and Drum Major Mickey. Princess Tiana On Her Bayou Adventure At Disney Parks
Coming to Magic Kingdom park in Florida and Disneyland park in California in 2024. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be an all-new attraction brining Disney Parks guest into Princess Tiana’s world like never before. Guests will journey down the bayou towards a magical Mardi Gras celebration. The fan favorite star of Walt Disney animation Studios film The Princess and the Frog will come to life as voice actors Anika Noni Rose and Jenifer Lewis reprise their roles for the attraction. Grammy-award wining musicians PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard will score music including an original composition by Morton!
Disney Dreamers Academy
Disney Dreamers Academy returns to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida for it’s 17th year this Spring. The program features educators, business leaders and celebrities such as actor and singer Halle Bailey. The mentoring program helps 100 high school students from across the United States jump start the pursuit of their dreams and goals. Graduates have gone on to become doctors, engineers, performing artists, entrepreneurs. Disney Cast members and more. Students can apply or be nominated for the program at www.dreamersacademy.com
Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Ship On The Horizon
The Disney Treasures will blend on of a kind offerings with an unparalleled hospitality that distinguished every Disney cruise line vacation. The ship’s design will be inspired by Walt Disney’s love of exploration and will feature a motif of adventure. The Disney Treasures Grand Hall is inspired by the grandeur and mystery of a glided palace and pays homage to Walt Disney Animaton Studios classic tale, “.Aladdin”. As one of the three new ships planned through 2025, The Disney Treasure is part of an unprecedented era of expansion for Disney Cruise Line.
