Jodie Turner-Smith recently opened up about planning her daughter Juno’s sixth birthday party, revealing that the celebration was every bit as elaborate as it was memorable.
“There was a big party involved,” she laughed. “She wanted a K-Pop Demon Hunters-themed party, which, of course, she did!”
While the actress admitted the process was a little stressful, she ultimately embraced the challenge. After reaching out to a party planner and receiving a quote that she compared to “private school tuition,” Turner-Smith decided to take matters into her own hands.
“I was like, ‘You know what? I could be a party planner,’” she joked. Drawing from her experience organizing events in college, she meticulously planned every detail herself. “As a Virgo, I’ve been studying all these kids’ parties for years. I take notes on what works and what doesn’t, so I knew exactly who to call.”
The result? A party she proudly described as “amazing.”
One of the biggest hurdles was bringing her daughter’s favorite fictional K-pop groups to life. Juno specifically requested performers inspired by the Saja Boys and Huntrix, but finding the right entertainment proved challenging. Fortunately, Turner-Smith enlisted the help of friends and ultimately discovered a talented group of students from USC who not only performed but also sang for the guests.
“They were incredible,” she said. “The kids had the best time.”
Most importantly, the birthday girl loved every minute of it, making all the planning and stress completely worth it.
