Keke Palmer stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and covered everything from Spaceballs 2 and motherhood to viral moments, Pilates, and her growing list of career achievements.

Fresh off San Diego Comic-Con, Palmer shared her excitement about finally unveiling Spaceballs 2 to fans during the film’s Hall H panel. While keeping major plot details under wraps, she teased the highly anticipated sequel, praised comedy legend Mel Brooks, who returns to the franchise at 100 years old, and celebrated an all-star cast that includes Josh Gad, Lewis Pullman, Bill Pullman, and Daphne Zuniga.

The actress also gave an adorable update on her 3-year-old son, Leo, revealing that he recently comforted her after a stressful day before quickly asking if he could use her iPad. Palmer joked that while Leo initially wanted nothing to do with the cameras during her Architectural Digest home tour, he couldn’t resist making surprise appearances throughout the shoot, leaving her wondering if he may have inherited the entertainer gene after all.

Fallon also brought up Palmer’s viral interview with Oprah Winfrey, where the media icon confirmed that her birth name is actually “Orpah,” along with the internet’s fascination with Palmer’s undeniable chemistry with Hot Ones host Sean Evans. Palmer admitted they immediately clicked during their first interview together and laughed at fans constantly trying to play matchmaker.

Adding another title to her already impressive résumé, Palmer revealed she’s now a certified Pilates instructor, sharing that she discovered a deeper appreciation for the workout while filming Spaceballs 2 in Australia. She credited Pilates with helping her stay grounded and present, joking that her teaching style is far less intense than most instructors. “I’m just happy you showed up,” she laughed.

Palmer also announced she’s taking on a new role in education. Through her creative platform KeyTV, she’s partnered with UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television to become a professor, mentoring the next generation of BIPOC creatives. The milestone makes her the second professor in her family.

The conversation also celebrated the continued success of Password, where Palmer and Fallon reflected on the NBC game show’s No. 1 time-slot performance and their fiercely competitive Virgo personalities.

Palmer wrapped up the interview by discussing her latest Audible project, Becoming Lady Miss Jacqueline, inspired by her wildly popular Southern Belle character that has amassed more than 100 million online views. She revealed she recently debuted the character in a live comedy performance at New York’s Comedy Cellar and credited comedians Pete Davidson, Marlon Wayans, and Aziz Ansari for encouraging her to continue exploring stand-up comedy. To cap off the appearance, Fallon teased that Lady Miss Jacqueline would make a special appearance later in the show though Palmer joked the feisty character isn’t exactly her biggest fan.
