I popped into Magnolia Room over the weekend, and whew my soul needed that visit! There’s just nothing like true Southern comfort food, the kind that warms you from the inside out, especially when the weather turns chilly. My guy and I absolutely devoured their holiday menu—perfectly seasoned meatloaf, silky sweet potatoes, tender green beans, crispy catfish, flavorful dirty rice… and of course, the grand finale: sweet potato pie and a tall glass of sweet tea. Every single bite tasted like home, like my grandmother’s cooking wrapped in a warm hug.
The staff is always so warm and welcoming, too. Always very clean and reasonably priced! And during the holidays, when all you want to do is relax and let someone else take the reins, this is the perfect spot to settle in, exhale, and let comfort take over.
