My First Experience Riding The Tower Of Terror At Disney World

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been at Walt Disney World. I do remember the very first time though, I was pregnant with my son Pootie, and it was REALLY hot in July 1999. It was my husband’s family reunion and we had such a great time. I have been back a few times with Disney’s Dreamers Academy and so on. Well Disney invited me back to the park this past weekend while I was in town for a blogger conference. Soon as we settled in, we stopped by Hollywood Studios for a little fun and excitement. It was amazing to see the park again, try the different foods and ride on a few rollercoasters. My friend and fellow blogger buddy Amanda(Guide For Moms) asked me if I had ever rode on the Tower of Terror and I replied no but was game to try it! We headed that way and I was getting nervous the closer and closer we got! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE rollercoasters and I am very adventurous but it was like experiencing something new and you just don’t know what to expect. The suspense was killing me!

Amanda wouldn’t tell me much about the ride but that I should like it and especially if I like that feeling of your stomach falling out lol! I didn’t know what to expect but the line was moving fast and as we got closer, I started to panic! Oh my lord, what was I getting myself into. But hey, I am no chump, so I just moved along lol. Once we entered the haunted hotel, they had music blaring and the makeshift hotel lobby was full of cobwebs and old artifacts, it was pretty cool to look at. We then entered another lobby where a loud speaker and video started playing telling us what was to be expected and a little back history of the hotel and the celebrity family that mysteriously disappeared.

After the introduction, a door opened and we were all seated into seats and then the fun began! We were lifted up in a service elevator and then that’s when I looked at Amanda and said, “what the heck did I get myself into” LOL! It was dark, spooky and my excitement was building. As soon as I said that the elevator fell then jolted back up and dropped again! I never laughed so hard in my life and I REALLY enjoyed this ride! Once the ride ended, we got off and I asked Amanda if we could ride again, I’m so crazy! It was an amazing ride and if you have never been on it, you have to try it, it was pretty insane! Thanks to Disney for the passes, I will never forget the fun experience! xoxo

My face in this picture LOL!
