Nelly’s ‘The Mo-Town Revue’ Birthday Bash

The City of Atlanta was turned into Mo-Town last night as we celebrated Halloween and headed to a themed 1950’s & 1960’s costume party for Rapper Nelly’s Birthday Bash! It’s Scorpio season and Nelly and his croonies came suited and booted in their fashionable retro looks and showed the ladies what singing groups were all about back in the day! The hosts for the evening were Nelly’s crew, Jermaine Duper, Bryan Michael Cox, Polo Da Don, and Johnta Austin. I overheard Nelly jokingly saying to his chauffeur when he was exiting the vehicle, “Look here, baby. You’re hittin’ them corners too goddamn fast! You need to slow this motherf*cker down, you understand? I almost spilled my ‘yak on this $200 suit” lol (from Next Friday) and Jermaine saying, “y’all gotta check out my waves” lol.

It was such a fun event with vintage cars, pinup girls, a live band, burlesque dancers, photo stations, signature cocktails and food. I mainly got a kick outta looking at all the attendees dressed up in their fun outfits like remakes of The Supremes, The Temptations, Ike and Tina Turner and the list goes on! I even saw a partygoers come in with a guitar, they were not playing any games on Halloween night lol. I got my inspiration for my look from Diana Ross when she was in the girl group, The Supremes, they were the best-dressed female group out back then! Enjoy a few snaps and thanks to curator Hanna Kang for the personal invite, I had a blast!
