Congratulations are in order for Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles! She has become the first gymnast to win 8 All-Around Titles at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships! This was also after she took a two-year break to focus on her mental health. She said it felt really special with the victory but she has been doing it for so long that she doesn’t think about all the numbers, telling NBC.
After her floor exercise she received a standing ovation. Her stellar performance earned her 15.400. Her combined total of 118.450 beat second placed Shilese Jones by 3.9 points, whew! She is a beat!
