Patti Labelle Flubs During The Tribute To The Late Tina Turner At ‘BET Awards’

Patti LaBelle hit the stage at the BET Awards on Sunday evening where she delivered a breathtaking performance of “The Best” in tribute to the late powerhouse Tina Turner. The 79-year-old usually sings her face off but she kinda fumbled the ball during her set! She was trying to sing, “The Best” when it took a turn for the worse. She tried to recover but it just didn’t sit right with the fans in the audience and to the viewers watching.

She said during the show that she didn’t know the words and to help her out. I’m just trying to figure out WHY did BET even bother asking her to perform? Was it last minute and she couldn’t learn all the words to the song? She said she couldn’t see the words on the teleprompter either but got through it by ad-libbing. BET later said the teleprompter was was obstructed that obscured Ms. LaBelle’s view… lawd!

One things for sure Patti was laid with her hair, nail and outfit! She slayed in a black fringe mini-dress that paid tribute to the late Tina Turner that always wore those kind of dresses. See more photos inside…
