Pinky Review: Tonsure Hair Unit

photo-2-copy

Hey there guys! As you know I’m in Los Angeles and before I left, I had to get this hair done! It’s been three months since I installed a partial weave in my hair. Then I thought about it and said to myself,  I want to give my hair a break from the weave. I went online to do some research on other protective styles I could wear. I really didn’t like what I was seeing and I hate wearing braids and can’t sit that long, no mam!

I just so happen to be out in Vegas for the Soul Train Awards and I met this lady who hair was very pretty. She told me that she was in the hair business and her company was called Tonsure Hair.  I was unfamiliar with that terminology but knew it was some sort of wig lol. It’s actually like wearing a partial wig/fall but you have your hair out around the sides and back. I loved it and she told me that all you do is clip it on and that’s pretty  much it! I took it to my hairstylist Mahoghany and she said these units were extremely popular and they give your hair a break. I wanted a break from all the wear and tear on the braids and stitching with weaves. I was excited to try it and it took about an hour and I was out of there! Mahoghany shampooed and conditioned my hair, then she clipped my ends. By the way, she said my hair was growing back nicely! It’s back to my shoulders know, so happy! Then she braided my hair in big braids in a circle and just clipped this hair “unit” on. This should last me about 2-3 weeks. It kinda reminds you of wearing clip-ins, just bigger. It’s very lightweight and its 100% virgin Indian hair and curls up really nice! It was raining when I left the salon and my curls NEVER fell! I’m wearing the Indore Deep Wave U-Part it retails for $335.00. Its been two full days now and it’s still bouncy and curly with no shedding at all. Check out the site to see all they have, I really like it for an alternative style! xoxo

A lot of my hair is out in the front and the sides and back, I love this unit for extra fullness!
