If you live in Atlanta, where were you last night? You should have heard about or been at Editor in Chief, Jamie Foster’s Sister 2 Sister 22nd Anniversary Party! Celebs came out in full force to strut the red carpet at this star studded affair. When I tell yah everyone came glammed out casket ready, that’s what the heck I mean!
As much as I need glasses, last night I was able to spot every damn celebrity that was in the room with no problem, that is hilarious to me lol. First off, Jamahl from S.T.E.P.S Events transformed the twelve hotel’s ballroom room into something Pinktacular! It was decorated with pink chairs, lighting and Pink Nuvo on the tables! Tracy Steele was the dj plus there was a live band. The pink candy station was so yummy!
The red carpet was full of your hottest celebs,honorees, socialites,musicians and more! Here’s who I spotted at the party…Genuwine and Sole, Tiny & Toya, Ed & Lisa Wu Hartwell, Snoop Dogg’s Wife Shante, Sunshine Anderson, Eric Benet, Andrea Kelly, SWV, Stephen Hill, Jermaine Dupri,Matthew Knowles, Jackee Harry, Jeffrey Osbourne, Terrance J, Tiffany Evans,Rodney Perry,Juanita Bynum,Roger Bobb, Kandi,Tamia,Sean Garrett,Mayor Kasim Reed and ofcourse the ever glamourous Jamie Foster! Whew, it was more but my hands are tired lol.
After the carpet,the evening started off with the awards ceremony and dinner. Then the icon awards in music, film and television began with Kandi hosting.
- Matthew Knowles received the Iconic Empire Builder Award
- Roger Bobb received the Uber Producer Award
- Paxton Baxter received the Network Architect Award
- Rainforest Films received the You knocked it out the Park Award
- Stephen Hill received the Maverick music producer Award
After the award ceremony, Tiffany Evans and Genuwine hit the stage to sing a couple of songs then SWV came out and serenaded Jamie with her favorite song,If only you know. Coco still has those pipes chile! Choreographer, Andrea Kelly then performed a sultry dance number. Jamie then came to the stage to introduce her hard working staff from Sister 2 Sister and her “licky licky” hubby! She was too cute last night and looked stunning! She has been in media for a long time and lots of people pay a lot of respect to her for being in the biz soo long! I look up to Jamie and she has taught me soo much! Congrats to her and I hope to see her magazine out for another 22 years! Congrats Jamie, you deserved a wonderful star filled event of glitz,glamour and homage !
