Staying True To Myself

NYFW_9.7.14-47

As I have aged, I have learned to love me in ways that I never thought I could! As some of you know, I didn’t have it easy growing up! Hearing “NO” every day of my life or that I couldn’t do this or that, it made me even doubt myself over the years. Now I do not take no for an answer and I am living my dream! I have grown tough skin over the years and I’ve created my own path. I’m a go-getter for sure, but this behavior came from me always having to fight to get respect or for something that I wanted. I love this blog; it’s my creative outlet, but Talking With Tami did not come easy, let me explain…

With anything you do in life, it’s going to take a lot of hard work, dedication and discipline. I explain this to a lot of people that walk up to me and tell me how much they love my blog. Some have been bloggers for years while others are newbies. I tell them, “It looks easy but, trust me, it’s not.” You have to keep a great schedule, plan, be sociable and work long hours sometimes. Pretty pictures on the site just tell a fraction of what really happens behind-the-scenes of blogging when creating a story. When I want to give up or shut the site down, which occurs a lot with blogging, I always remember at the end of the day that someone out there needs to be lifted up just like the character Noni in the movie Beyond The Lights.

She deals with a lot of pressure of fame and then she meets Kaz Nicol. You always need that dear friend in your corner that will push and motivate you to take you to levels that you never knew you could reach. Keep great people around you, have cheerleaders, keep the faith and things will always go your way. My support team is very small but mighty. My husband has always been in my corner and I appreciate him so much for everything that he has done for me! My husband and kids keep me motivated to keep going and remind me daily when I want to quit and find me a 9 to 5 job to never give up! I hope that I inspire many of you that log onto my site daily. Without you, I would not be Talking With Tami. Please don’t forget to check out the movie Beyond The Lights that hits theaters on November 14 and take a young person with you, they especially need to be inspired to dream big! Till next time! xoxo

Synopsis:
Beyond the Lights is the story of Noni, the music world’s latest superstar. But not all is what it seems, and the pressures of fame have Noni on the edge – until she meets Kaz Nicol, a young cop and aspiring politician who’s been assigned to her detail. Drawn to each other, Noni and Kaz fall fast and hard, despite the protests of those around them who urge them to put their career ambitions ahead of their romance. But it is ultimately Kaz’s love that gives Noni the courage to find her own voice and break free to become the artist she was meant to be. In theaters November 14, 2014.

  4. Keep doing your dream, because a 9-5 def has issues as well. You work hard and your boss(es) get credit for your hard work and ideas.

I know it is hard owning your own business but you have no one standing in your way….you can determine how high you want to soar in the clouds.

    Blessings!
