Tea, Taxes & Building Wealth: An Afternoon at The Capital Tea & Tax Event

Now this is my kind of afternoon tea, meaningful conversations and a little financial wisdom served on the side!

My dear friend Yvette Caslin recently hosted her very first The Capital Tea & Tax Event at Aromas Tea Bar in Atlanta, bringing together an intimate group for an afternoon centered around entrepreneurship, financial empowerment and, of course, some seriously delicious tea.

Aromas Tea Bar was such a unique setting for the occasion. Co-founder Sheila Hubbard shared that the concept was born from a personal passion for pairing premium teas with fine cigars. What started as an exploration of flavors and rituals eventually blossomed into a distinctive tea experience right here in Atlanta.

The teas are cigar-inspired and thoughtfully blended to offer bold, smooth and complex flavor profiles. They even take things up a notch by transforming some of their signature blends into sophisticated tea-infused mocktails. How fabulous is that?

I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Sheila, who helped me select the perfect tea. and baby, it was delish! I love a good cup of tea, and mine was so flavorful and refreshing. There’s just something about discovering a cute tea bar with a little personality and an unexpected twist!

But while the tea was flowing, Yvette made sure we were also pouring into our financial futures.

She led an insightful conversation about business ownership, financial strategy, retirement planning, generational wealth and the importance of creating long-term financial stability. It was the kind of discussion that makes you think beyond simply earning money and start considering how you’re managing, protecting and growing it for the future.

What I enjoyed most was the fellowship. We were able to sip, learn, connect and have genuine conversations about topics that can sometimes feel intimidating. I walked away with a better understanding of my finances, some things to think about for the future and, yes, a new appreciation for a really good tea bar!

Congratulations to my friend Yvette on her inaugural Capital Tea & Tax Event. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with tea, togetherness and tools for building wealth and that’s a combination I can definitely raise my teacup to!
