Rumors spread fast and I take this one a bit personal because I have been watching singer Jacob Latimore’s career blossom since I first interviewed him at the ripe ol’ age of 12 years old. As you know, I was stuck in Los Angeles for a few days and I attended a press junket for the movie Black Nativity that hits theaters this Thanksgiving! Did you know that R&B crooner Jacob is the star of the movie? Yes and guess who got to ask him about all the rumors that he was joining the boy band Mindless Behavior? That’s right muah! So come on inside and find out what he had to say!

So at the junket yesterday, Jacob and I sat on the stairs in the Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills taking selfies for instagram and I said to him, “hey bookie, did you know you were all over the internet and people are saying that Prodigy left Mindless Behavior but that you were going to replace him?” He was kinda surprised at the whole thing but assured me that this is such a false statement! He is enjoying acting right now, starring in his first leading role in the holiday movie, “Black Nativity” plus he told me he just released a mix-tape and he will be in Kevin Hart’s new movie Ride Along. He said he really does not have a lot of time to join a boy band right now. He said that Mindless Behavior team has reached out to him several times throughout the year and was very interested in him joining but he turned it down.

TWT TEA: Did you guys know that lead-singer Prodigy left the group a long time ago? Yes, he wants to venture off on his own and the group is scrambling to find a new replacement. I feel that personally Jacob is well more established than the talented foursome but Jacob is doing fine all by himself and who wants to cut a check four ways, when he can have all his money lol. I think the group is awesome and I’ve interviewed them all. I wish them the best but glad Jacob stuck to his guns! Keep up the good work Jacob and don’t forget to check out his movie Black Nativity that hits theaters on Thanksgiving Day! He does a great job in the film! xoxo
