Tyra Banks on why she wasn’t part of ‘clique’ with other supermodels

Tyra Banks brought her signature charm and energy to morning TV as the newest guest co-host on TODAY with Jenna & Friends.

Fans of the supermodel and media mogul know she’s no stranger to the hosting spotlight. From leading most seasons of America’s Next Top Model between 2003 and 2018 to her stint on America’s Got Talent during Seasons 12 and 13, Tyra knows how to command a stage. Let’s not forget her Emmy-winning daytime talk show in the mid-2000s, which proved she could connect with audiences on a whole new level.

Tyra joined Jenna Bush Hager for a lively segment filled with interviews, games, and a candid chat about her big move to Sydney, Australia—a decision influenced, in part, by her passion project: her ice cream brand, Smize & Dream.

“We just kept going back and forth for R&D, and eventually I was like, ‘Wait, I really like it here,’” Banks told TODAY.com. “So, we decided to make the leap.”

Known for her unique yet relatable perspective, Banks shared plans for her flagship Smize & Dream shop near Sydney Harbour, describing it as an “immersive” experience unlike anything else in the ice cream world. The twist? Everyone working at the shop will be either a working or aspiring actor, embodying the role of their dream character—whether that’s a gravity-defying witch, a powerful superhero, or a high-flying action star.

“They’ll be living out their dream, because that’s what Smize & Dream is all about,” Banks explained. “It’s inspired by my mom, who always encouraged me to dream big. Every team member will be playing the role of their dream—it’s performance meets purpose, with a scoop of sweetness.”Seeavideoclipinside…
