The fashion conversation was on fire after the Emmys, and one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stylists was spilling a little tea about working with some of the biggest names in entertainment!
Fresh off Emmy night, the stylist reflected on attending the star-studded celebration with the RuPaul’s Drag Race crew and how special it is to share those moments with the cast. But the conversation quickly turned to one of the evening’s most talked-about fashion moments: Zendaya’s stunning Emmy look.

And yes, there was plenty of behind-the-scenes magic involved!
The stylist revealed that the breathtaking Prada gown was created with inspiration from one of the designer house’s favorite collections, Prada Spring 2010. The look came together through close collaboration with Prada, with every detail carefully considered.

But the gown wasn’t the only major transformation. Zendaya had recently gone for a much shorter haircut, and the stylist was completely on board with the chic pixie moment.
And there was another beautiful layer to the look: a fashion tribute to Halle Berry.
The stylist explained that honoring women who paved the way is extremely important. Halle Berry’s influence and iconic style have helped open doors for the generation of women coming behind her, and incorporating that inspiration into Zendaya’s look made the moment even more meaningful.
When asked whether red carpets ever make her nervous, her answer was priceless: “The South Side of Chicago.”

That confidence runs deep! The conversation briefly touched on Zendaya and Tom Holland, but the stylist made it clear that their personal life belongs to them. While creating incredible looks is a huge part of the job, being backstage and hearing those powerhouse voices live is what makes the experience so special.
One particular favorite? Ariana performing “Dangerous Woman.” The stylist recalled sharing that moment from the audience and singing along, describing it as an unforgettable experience.
And then came a question that every fashion lover can appreciate: Does she enjoy seeing fans recreate her looks for Halloween?

Absolutely!
In fact, she believes a fashion moment hasn’t truly reached icon status until someone recreates it for Halloween.
For her, seeing fans recognize a look well enough to recreate it is the ultimate compliment. It means the image made an impression, became memorable and connected with people.
And judging by the number of recreations already popping up, it sounds like we’re going to see plenty more fabulous fashion moments walking around this Halloween!
