Winter Lantern Festival Coming To Atlanta

The Winter Lantern Festival is making its Georgia debut following three consecutive years of sell-out runs in New York City and Washington D.C., where it welcomed more than 150,000 guests annually. From November 10, Gwinnett County Fairgrounds will be transformed into a spectacular world of light featuring more than 1,000 handmade Chinese lanterns and lights creating an unforgettable experience for all.

The waitlist to purchase tickets is now open, allowing fans to gain exclusive access before ticket sales officially begin on October 11.

Spread across 6 acres guests will enter and wander through a wonderland of light inspired by Chinese myths, legends, and zodiacs. Handmade lanterns of hand painted silk cloth draped over a frame filled with LED lights will mesmerize guests of all ages as the Fairgrounds transform into a radiant oasis.

Attendees will be amazed as they traverse through dazzling displays of colorful, festive lights and lanterns, including an animal kingdom, a sea world, and a theme park. Majestic creatures including mammoths, polar bears, penguins, and a 50-foot-tall lantern display of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, will shine in the night as guests journey through the Festival. Visitors will also be able to ride illuminated swings and seesaws, creating fun photo moments for friends and family, as well as enjoy refreshments on site.

The experience returns to New York City, and Washington D.C., and heads to Georgia and New Jersey for the first time this winter.
