Zendaya and Robert stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about their new movie, The Drama.
They shared how surprising it is to suddenly be in three films together The Drama, The Odyssey, and Dune: Part Three—despite never having worked on a film as co-stars before. Zendaya laughed, “We wished on a star! The Drama came first, and then there was secrecy around The Odyssey, so we didn’t really tell each other much. We just exchanged that look on set: ‘You too?’”
Robert added with a grin, “Then there’s Dune. It’s like, ‘Oh, you again. See you at Dune!’”
Zendaya opened up about her hectic schedule, juggling Dune, Spider-Man, and wrapping Euphoria at four in the morning before hopping on a flight to Budapest. “Packing my whole life into one night!” she said.
The conversation turned playful when Jimmy asked about visiting the Spider-Man set and the ongoing Spider-Man vs. Batman debate. Zendaya laughed, “Legally, yes but I can’t say who would win!”
Robert teased about Tom Holland, and Zendaya chimed in, “Love him we’ve done three movies together too,” both clearly fans.
Their first meeting was unforgettable. Zendaya recalled a FaceTime during Euphoria when Robert was fully in Batman mode, cowl on, smokey eye, deep voice. Robert jokingly remembered, “[in deep voice] Hi.”
Chemistry clicked instantly. Zendaya explained she went full-throttle with her personality on that first call, emotionally raw. Robert mentioned that filming the dance scene helped them bond, especially since he’s not much of a dancer. “Zendaya coached me on set—it was our first-day challenge,” he said.
They shared laughs over Robert claiming he smells like crayons. “Blue crayon since childhood,” he insisted, while Zendaya laughed.
When discussing The Drama, they described it as a dark, intense story about a couple on the brink of marriage. There’s romance at the beginning, but it quickly becomes an emotionally raw, chaotic ride until the very end.
Zendaya’s red carpet look was perfectly on theme: something old, something new, something borrowed. She revealed the “borrowed” piece was from Cate Blanchett. “It was such a kind gesture. I was super paranoid about keeping it safe,” she admitted.
Looking ahead, the pair hope to collaborate on even more films together. The Drama hits theaters this Friday.
Zendaya traded in her recent bridal-inspired method dressing for a bold moment of “fearless femme” glamour while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in New York City alongside her The Drama co-star Robert Pattinson.
Styled by her longtime creative partner Law Roach, the actress stepped out in a striking look from Zimmermann’s Fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection for her late-night appearance. The fashion-forward ensemble embraced subtle elements of deconstruction, showcased through an exquisitely detailed lace design.
Rendered in a rich midnight-blue hue, the long-sleeve dress featured delicate floral motifs woven throughout the lace, creating a romantic yet dramatic effect. The silhouette hugged Zendaya’s figure through the bodice and sleeves before giving way to a softly pleated skirt that added fluidity and movement. The result was an effortlessly whimsical look that balanced elegance with modern edge.
With its intricate textures and flowing structure, the Zimmermann piece perfectly captured Zendaya’s signature blend of high-fashion sophistication and ethereal charm.
The frock’s bodice showcased a masterclass in deconstruction, featuring exposed boning on the corset top and strategic cutouts beneath delicate sheer lace. A garter detail at the hips infused a hint of boudoir allure, nodding to iconic design motifs of past decades.
Zendaya completed the look with sleek black So Kate pumps by Christian Louboutin, instantly recognizable by their signature red soles, and a classic Rolex watch peeking elegantly from beneath the sheer sleeve. Her glam was effortlessly chic: a textured “bixie” haircut styled with a side part and soft, flouncy curls, complemented by a sultry smoky eye and a glossy, kissable lip.
Zendaya wearing Zimmerman, gorgeous!
