When Tamera Knew Adam Was A Perfect Fit For Her Family
Tamera Mowry-Housley: I remember my sister’s wedding– you know she’s married to Cory.
Adrienne Houghton: Yeah.
Tamera: And I remember just, just watching Adam to make sure, you know like, what was going on and that he could feel, you know like, comfortable…
Loni Love: (Laughs)
Tamera: And, man, when I say my family, after they met him, they came over to me and they were like, “Yes! We love Adam!”
Jeannie Mai: That’s good!
Tamera: “He feels comfortable with us!”
Jeannie: So relieving!
Tamera: Yeah. It feels really, really good. And then there was the time, I remember, when we started dating. I had a weft in my hair. If you don’t know what that means, that is, you know like, tracks, right (motions around her head). You know when you’re like making out and your, like, really, really into it (mimes making out)? I remember at one point, he was so sweet, he just–he just stopped (has her hand on her hair). He didn’t say anything. ‘Cause I don’t think he wanted to, like, maybe hurt my feelings– he just didn’t understand.
Adrienne: Yeah.
Loni: (Laughs)
Tamera: And I said, “Oh, baby. That’s okay. That’s a weft. That’s a weft. Just keep on goin’. Keep on goin’.”
Tamera: He was like, “It’s okay! It’s okay! It’s okay!”
Adrienne: You were like, “I got a sew-in weave. That’s all that’s happenin’ right there.”
Loni: (Laughing) Oh my God.
Tamera: He’s always open to learning. And on his side, I learned about… wine. You know, the wine culture. So…
Amanda Seales: I know you are not…
Adrienne: She became woke about the wine.
