A Fairytale Birthday at The Cake Bake Shop

I truly had the most magical birthday celebration with my husband Kelvin at the enchanting The Cake Bake Shop on the Disney BoardWalk, and honestly, it felt like stepping straight into a real-life fairytale.

Visiting this dreamy destination had been on my wish list for years because it perfectly matches my soft, whimsical princess aesthetic. I’ve long admired founder Gwendolyn Rogers and her inspiring story from baking in her tiny kitchen to building her first bakery in Indiana and creating one of the most magical dining experiences imaginable.

This was my very first visit to the Florida location, and from the moment I walked inside, I was completely captivated. Every sparkling detail felt touched by magic from the elegant decor to the stunning carousel centerpiece that instantly made me feel like Cinderella arriving at the ball. The atmosphere was warm, whimsical, and absolutely breathtaking.

For dinner, I indulged in the chicken andouille gumbo topped with lump crab, while Kelvin enjoyed the grilled salmon sandwich, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. But the true fairytale moment arrived with dessert… the famous Raspberry Champagne Cake. 🍰✨

The heavenly creation featured layers of vanilla cake brushed with French champagne simple syrup, filled with raspberry pixie jam and fresh raspberries, then frosted in the dreamiest champagne vanilla buttercream and crowned with even more fresh berries. Every bite tasted like pure luxury and celebration.

To make the experience even sweeter, our adorable waitress sprinkled fairy pixie dust into my hands so I could make a birthday wish a moment that honestly made me feel like a princess in my own storybook.

And don’t even get me started on the gift shop! It was filled with whimsical treasures, sparkling goodies, and beautiful cakes packaged to take home. I wanted one of everything.

From the dreamy desserts to the magical ambiance, this birthday was everything I imagined and more. It was such a beautiful way to celebrate another year of life, love, and unforgettable memories. I already cannot wait to return. See all the magic inside…
