I absolutely light up whenever I’m invited to a glamorous affair if it calls for a ball gown or just an excuse to dress up, count me in! So when I received the invite to cover the red carpet for rapper Jeezy’s 5th Annual Sno Ball Fundraiser Gala, I was immediately intrigued, especially after seeing that it would take place at the ultra-chic Delta Flight Museum.
Now, I’m that girl who always keeps a few gowns on standby because in Atlanta, there’s an event happening nearly every night of the week. So yes, your girl stays ready! Over the years, I’ve learned that being glam-prepared is a must.
For this special evening, I called my daughter Tyra to style my hair I was channeling a bit of Old Hollywood glamour. My makeup artist, Quinn, finished the look with a flawless soft-glam beat that perfectly complemented my gown. I especially loved how she played up my eyes!
Tucked away in my closet was the perfect dress—a sparkling number I’d received last year for a black-tie gala I never made it to. It fit like a dream and shimmered beautifully under the lights.
