Imagine this, you’re three years old, and your dad comes to you with the biggest smile on his face. He tells you he’s throwing a grand party and wants you to wear your favorite Disney princess dress. Can you picture the excitement bubbling up inside? The sparkle in your eyes? The magic of that moment?
I didn’t have that growing up. I never met my dad, and I can only imagine how little Monaco Mai Jenkins must have felt when her superstar father invited her to get all dressed up for his big night. My heart just melted! If that had been me, I would have been floating on air in absolute heaven!
I always say that fathers play such a powerful, irreplaceable role in their children’s lives. Their love, presence, and encouragement help shape the person a child becomes. I pray every day that more men step up and truly show up for their children because it matters so much.
When I saw Monaco’s eyes light up on the red carpet last night, my heart just about burst. She looked every bit the princess sparkly gown, glittering shoes, and, of course, a shining tiara to top it all off. When I asked her to give us a twirl, she didn’t hesitate for a second! She twirled with pure joy, owning the moment like she was born for it.
It was such a beautiful sight her joy, her confidence, her little princess spirit. She reminded me so much of Belle from Beauty and the Beast truly the Belle of the Ball!
