I had the pleasure of attending actress Crystal Renee Hayslett’s inaugural Sunset Soirée Fundraiser Dinner, hosted by the Crystal Renee Hayslett Foundation, at The Retreat at The Gathering Spot on Saturday afternoon.
The sold-out event supported the foundation’s mission to expand educational opportunities, increase access to mental health resources, and promote financial literacy in underserved communities.
Guests were welcomed with a sophisticated cocktail reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres, refreshing beverages, and plenty of networking opportunities before the evening’s program began. Thoughtful touches, including a chic photo booth, complimentary hand fans, and curated gift bags, helped guests stay cool despite the summer heat.
Set beneath a beautiful covered outdoor pavilion, the soirée captured the romance of a warm summer evening while providing a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. The dress code called for rich jewel tones, and guests arrived in stunning looks that made the event feel even more glamorous.
Among those in attendance were model and reality star Eva Marcille, Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams, and Crystal’s Zatima co-star Devale Ellis alongside his wife, Khadeen Ellis.
From the inspiring mission to the beautiful setting and impeccably dressed guests, the inaugural Sunset Soirée was a memorable evening that blended philanthropy, community, and style. With a sold-out crowd and overwhelming support, it was a wonderful celebration of giving back while bringing together some of Atlanta’s most influential faces.
