Dakota Johnson Talks About New Role On Seth Meyers

Actress Dakota Johnson sat down with Seth Meyers the other night. She chatted about hosting Saturday Night Live, her parents attending the after-party with her and her dad cutting her off after she decided to pursue acting.

Dakota later talked about playing a clairvoyant paramedic in Madame Web and shares what it was like to work with Gen Z actors on the movie.

Dakota Johnson was born on October 4, 1989, in Austin, Texas, to actor parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. She comes from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry. Although she had appeared in various films before, Johnson gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy. Besides acting, Johnson is also a model and has appeared in campaigns for notable brands like Mango and Gucci.

Dakota’s maternal grandmother is actress Tippi Hedren, known for her work with Alfred Hitchcock in films like “The Birds” and “Marnie”. Despite her success in acting, Johnson initially attended college to study photography and film before pursuing her career in the entertainment industry. While “Fifty Shades of Grey” brought her global fame, Dakota Johnson has diversified her roles, appearing in a variety of genres, including comedy, drama, and thriller films. Johnson is also known for her activism and involvement in social causes, including women’s rights and environmental issues.
