Dolls, you already know how much I love all things Disney, especially when there’s a little holiday magic involved! Well, Disney+ is getting us into the Christmas spirit with the release of the festive new trailer for A Proud Family Wizmas, an all-new, music-filled stop-motion holiday special premiering Saturday, November 14!
And let me tell you, this looks like such a cute way to kick off the holiday season!
I’ve always had a soft spot for The Proud Family. From Penny’s hilarious adventures to Oscar’s over-the-top personality and Suga Mama’s unforgettable one-liners, this animated family has kept us entertained for years!
Now they’re back with a whimsical Christmas adventure, and this time, Penny Proud has quite the holiday situation on her hands!
Let’s get into all the festive details!
Penny Proud Accidentally Ruins Christmas in A Proud Family Wizmas!
Now, dolls, imagine accidentally destroying Christmas!
Well, that’s exactly the predicament Penny Proud finds herself in during this new Disney+ holiday special!
In A Proud Family Wizmas, Penny inadvertently changes Christmas as everyone knows it and must find a way to make things right.
Although she’s initially reluctant to take on the responsibility, Penny eventually agrees to help save Christmas for the children of Emilyville and the rest of the world.
Talk about a holiday assignment!
And knowing Penny, I’m sure there will be plenty of hilarious mishaps, family drama, and heartfelt lessons along the way.
The new trailer gives viewers a glimpse into the special’s whimsical world, complete with beautifully crafted stop-motion characters, festive scenery, and plenty of Christmas cheer.
I love that Disney is taking such a creative approach with this holiday special!
There’s something so nostalgic about stop-motion animation, especially during Christmas.
It reminds me of those classic holiday television specials that families would gather around to watch every year.
And now The Proud Family gets to bring its own personality and humor to that tradition!
A Proud Family Wizmas Features Six Original Holiday Songs!
Now, you know I love a good musical moment!
And Disney is giving us plenty of music to enjoy with this special.
A Proud Family Wizmas will feature six brand-new original songs, with songwriter and composer Kurt Farquhar returning to bring the holiday soundtrack to life.
I can already imagine the Proud family getting into all kinds of musical mischief!
Between the festive songs, whimsical animation, and familiar characters, this sounds like the perfect holiday treat for families.
And I especially love when Disney creates original music for its animated projects because those songs have a way of staying with you long after the credits roll.
Who knows? We might even have a few new Christmas favorites to add to our holiday playlists!
Kyla Pratt, Tommy Davidson and the Original Proud Family Cast Return!
One of the things I’m most excited about is seeing so many familiar voices return to bring these beloved characters to life.
Kyla Pratt is back as Penny Proud, alongside Tommy Davidson as her hilarious father, Oscar Proud.
And dolls, you already know Oscar is going to have something to say about all this Christmas chaos! Lol!
