Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up” Makes Radio History

10 Summers/Interscope Records UK songstress Ella Mai makes history this week with her whirlwind hit, “Boo’d Up.” The single is simultaneous straddling #1s at Urban Mainstream and Urban AC Radio. This latest accomplishment is a rare feat that has not occurred since Pharrell Williams double charted with “Happy” in March 2014.

The song currently sits at #2 on Rhythmic Radio and with a 30% increase in plays at Top 40 stations in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Houston, Atlanta and Nashville, “Boo’d Up” could soon find itself holding court on the Pop charts.

The runaway single has also reached #5 on Billboard’s prestigious Hot 100, while holding down the #1 spot on the magazine’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Adult R&B Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts. 10 Summers CEO, Mustard, who produced the track, recently told Billboard, “I don’t think she has a ceiling… She’s one of the greatest.”

The accompanying music video for “Boo’d Up” which features cameos from singer-songwriter Khalid, and Bay Area rap diva, Kamaiyah, has already racked up over 142 million views on YouTube alone. The highly influential platform also handpicked Ella Mai for their Artist on the Rise campaign.

As a surprise to R&B fans, H.E.R. brought Ella Mai onstage Monday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York to perform “Boo’d Up.” The hotly anticipated, sold-out Boo’d Up Tour will officially kick off next month in Dallas, TX and hit several major markets around the country.
