First Look: Relationship Goals Starring Kelly Rowland and Method Man

Kelly Rowland steps confidently back into leading-lady territory in Prime Video’s upcoming romantic comedy, Relationship Goals. The actress and singer also serves as an executive producer on the film, starring opposite Clifford “Method Man” Smith in a smart, modern love story set inside a fast-paced New York City newsroom.

Rowland plays Leah Caldwell, a brilliant and driven TV producer on the verge of making history as the first woman to lead the network’s top morning show. Just as her career reaches a pivotal moment, her ex, Jarret Roy (Smith), reenters her life this time as competition for the very same role. Claiming personal growth inspired by the New York Times bestselling book Relationship Goals, Jarret insists he’s no longer the man she once knew.

As Leah’s close-knit group of friends begins reading the book as well, each of them finds themselves reexamining love, purpose, and relationships. While those around her open their hearts, Leah remains determined to stay focused on shattering the glass ceiling, convinced she isn’t ready to risk love again despite the undeniable chemistry that resurfaces with her ex.

Based on Michael Todd’s New York Times bestseller, Relationship Goals was written by Laura Lekkos, Michael Elliott, and Cory Tynan. The film is directed by Linda Mendoza, produced by DeVon Franklin, and executive produced by Bart Lipton, Michael Todd, and Kelly Rowland.

What if love really did come with instructions? Relationship Goals, starring Kelly Rowland and Clifford “Method Man” Smith, begins streaming February 4 on Prime Video. See more inside and the trailer…
