Lil Kim For Ebony Magazine

Yesterday afternoon the world got to see rapper Kimberly Denise ‘Lil Kim’ Jones in a different light! She was one of the iconic rappers that hit the cover of Ebony Magazine. The cover came with a lot of controversy though because fans noticed right away the photos of the “Queen Bee” were so heavily photoshopped! Most fans were not pleased with the edits.

When I went to download the photos, I even noticed how heavy the filters were on all the pictures. Come to find out, it was all her doing allegedly from the magazine’s photography director Keith Major. He said, “she was in control of all the retouching, so this is what we got”. I didn’t know that a person could take over a magazine’s shoot like that but here we are lol. Most people said she looks unrecognizable in the images too. I think that she was styled lovely but they are correct, you would think this was another beautiful lady, not Lil Kim dang! Some thought it was AI photos lol.

Lil Kim is 49-years-old and she quickly clapped back at the naysayers and defending herself by posting in her instagram stories. She said, Who is this?! Cuz that’s not the photo I approved or any other content they’ve put out. I always told Ebony it looked like a painting but they didn’t wanna listen. They said they loved it. It’s the sabotage for me. The funny sh*t about this, is that this is THEIR retoucher! Sounds pretty fishy to me and we don’t know who to blame but see more photos inside…

“This year, I worked leading up to my birthday,” says Lil’ Kim, who recently celebrated her forty-ninth journey around the sun. The “work” she refers to is the photo shoot for this issue, for which she has pulled double duty as both cover subject and creative contributor. Those familiar with her career remember that Lil’ Kim’s imaging has been equally as important as her music.
