Maren Morris Talks About Leaving Country Music

Grammy winning musician Maren Morris stopped by the clubhouse over at Watch What Happens Live. She doesn’t agree with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Sutton Stracke’s assertion that the Magic Mike elevator run-in was a setup that Eria Jayne orchestrated and said it was a little bit of an overreaction on Sutton’s part while pointing out that she was going through something at the time. Maren also revealed that she’s been texting with Kyle Richards, said she feels for her as she goes through her separation from Mauricio Umansky and told Andy Cohen that she knows Kyle’s friend country singer Morgan Wade.

The “Get The Hell Out Of Here” singer Maren Morris confirmed that she is working with Jack Antonoff on her next album. She also revealed that she’s been working with Jack on and off all year long, along with some other people, while she’s been in writing mode. She also clarified where she stands with country music as a genre, explaining that she hasn’t left country music, but she’s leaving behind the toxic parts of it and taking the good parts with her.

During the After Show, Maren Morris said she heard from Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney after she turned Tom Schwartz’ pity party into a country song. Maren added that she was kind of shocked that no one had already done a spoof of Schwartz’ hilarious rambling. Plus, Sutton Stracke from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shared that she and Erika Jayne share the same therapist, which makes Andy Cohen’s jaw drop.

Maren also wore a cute jersey midi dress that featured ruched detailing, cutout accents, and a handkerchief hemline. See more photos and what she had to say plus the designer of her cute dress inside…
