Grammy Award-Winning Artist Missy Elliott had a very festive holiday! She “Decked the Hall” in a fabulous way! She revealed on her instagram page her Christmas Tree for this year and it was amazing! Each year Missy shares with her followers her uniquely designed trees and guess what you guys? It’s designed by my friend Chavien Shy! He is an event planner, event designer, wedding planner and interior stylist and located right here in Atlanta!
We have been friends since I can remember and he decorates lots of celebrities homes here during the holidays like Phaedra Parks, Monica and I can go on! This year he traveled to Missy’s home and they both sat down and brainstormed on some ideas and thats when they came up with the musical icons. He said it took him about 8 hrs to decorate the trees but it was well worth it!
In her video on instagram she explained that she had vinyl and cds on her tree. She showcased images of Tupac, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Aaliyah, TLC, Salt n Pepa, Biggie, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Luther Vandross, Prince, Stevie Wonder and more! She also shouted out Lizzo who is part of the younger generation.
My friend Chavien showed a Tik Tok video of how he came up with the design of the vinyl albums and adding photos of musical icons. He also found instruments to place on the tree with a little bling that turned out so pretty! I also loved the huge toy soldiers, yes! See the tree inside and Happy Holidays Everyone! xoxo
