Purpose, legacy, and cultural impact took center stage as The Connie Orlando Foundation hosted its annual Black Women in Music Dinner on June 12 at the Audrey Irmas Pavilion in Los Angeles. Hosted by comedian Zainab Johnson and presented in partnership with Founding Partner HarbourView Equity Partners, The Connie Orlando Foundation Presents Black Women in Music Dinner celebrated the Black women whose artistry, leadership, vision, and advocacy continue to protect, preserve, and advance the music industry.
Now firmly established as a cornerstone celebration of Black Music Month, the event brought together artists, executives, creators, and industry leaders to honor women whose contributions extend far beyond the spotlight. The evening also continued the Foundation’s mission to raise awareness and support for breast cancer prevention, education, and care.

Presented by 2025 Guardian Angel Spotlight recipient DJ KISS the distinction celebrates individuals who serve as protectors, messengers, and guides within the music industry while championing the next generation of talent.
Throughout the evening, attendees were treated to soulful performances from YULI, who helped set the tone throughout the program, as well as David Michael Wyatt, and Chanté Moore. Music for the evening was provided by renowned DJ KISS.
