Riley Burruss Reflects on Her Most Embarrassing Next Gen NYC Moment and Where She Stands With Ariana Biermann
Riley Burruss is owning up to one of her most talked-about moments from Next Gen NYC.
Looking back on the girls’ night episode, Riley admitted she was mortified after watching the scene for the first time. While she initially thought the night hadn’t been as bad as everyone made it seem, seeing it unfold on television completely changed her perspective.
“I honestly felt so embarrassed,” Riley admitted. “Before I watched it, I thought, ‘Okay, it couldn’t have been that bad.’ But then I saw it, and I realized it really was. I apologized to everyone because I couldn’t believe that happened.”
Thankfully, Riley said her mom, Kandi Burruss, helped her view the experience as a learning opportunity rather than something to dwell on.

“My mom knew I was going to beat myself up over it,” Riley shared. “She told me that if I was going to act like that, I needed to take accountability and learn from my actions.”
The reality star says that’s exactly what she did.
“I learned that drinking that much isn’t for everybody,” she laughed. “You have to look out for your friends, look out for yourself, and learn from those experiences.”
Riley also addressed another emotional moment from the season—telling Ariana Biermann that she wasn’t there for her when she needed her most. After watching the episodes back, Riley says she has a different perspective.
“I do regret saying that,” she admitted. “I’ve talked to Ariana so many times since then, and we’ve spent a lot of time together. Looking back, I realize she really did try to be there for me, and I appreciate that and everyone else who supported me.”
The good news is the longtime friends have worked through their differences and are back on solid ground.
Elsewhere in the interview, Riley had some fun dishing on her Next Gen NYC castmates, revealing who she thinks is the most loyal friend, who has the most questionable fashion sense, who has changed the most since Season 1, who relies on their parents the most, and who she believes is most likely to become a self-made millionaire.
She also shared an update on her friendships with Georgia McCann and Ariana Biermann. Riley revealed that Georgia has been incredibly helpful as she navigates law school and internship opportunities, while she and Ariana have fully repaired their friendship and are talking regularly again.
According to Riley, filming the Next Gen NYC reunion also helped bring the entire cast closer together, leaving everyone in a much better place than where the season ended.
