Paramount Pictures invited me out for a hilarious night celebrating the return of Scary Movie in Atlanta, and let me tell you the nostalgia was REAL! The evening was packed with laughs, horror-comedy chaos, and a special screening of the original cult classic, followed by an entertaining Q&A with comedy legends Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans.
During the conversation, Marlon opened up about how society has lost the art of laughter, saying people take everything way too seriously these days and comedy is needed now more than ever. He explained that making Scary Movie 6 felt easier this time around because they already have an established cast and fanbase, while creating the very first film was much tougher since they had no idea it would eventually become such a massive cult favorite.
And yes, the gang is BACK! Twenty-six years after escaping a suspiciously familiar masked killer, Shorty, Ray, Cindy, and Brenda find themselves being hunted once again by another unhinged slasher. The film stars Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, Damon Wayans Jr., Gregg Wayans, Kim Wayans and more.
If the energy in the room was any indication, fans are more than ready for the laughs, screams, and foolishness all over again!
