I wish this reality show would go away but unfortunately its not lol. Two Basketball Wives MVP’s are coming to spice things up in Los Angeles. Shaunie O’Neal and Tami Roman will now be joining the cast of Basketball Wives L.A. for season 4, which is slated to begin airing on Vh1 in July.

HipHollywood caught up with O’Neal in Los Angeles where she was hosting an event for her son’s clothing line Stay Based, and she let us in on why she was making the move.

“It just needed something,” admitted O’Neal of the show she also executive produces. “And I think it gets good, it almost gets competitive unintentionally.”

O’Neal and Roman will be joining Draya Michele, Jackie Christie, Malaysia Pargo and Brandi Maxiell and newcomer Meghan James from Bad Girls Club for season 4.

But while O’Neal and Roman have officially joined the cast, O’Neal told us that a few other Miami cast members may be making an appearance. “I have a couple of good surprises in store this season ,” said the mother of 5. “Be patient, stay tuned, there will be some faces that you will be very surprised to see.”

And if you’re wondering if Basketball Wives Miami has been canceled, O’Neal says not necessarily. “They never officially ended Miami, but none of us have ties to Miami anymore,” explained O’Neal who now resides in Los Angeles. “So it didn’t make sense, we would all have to fly there just to shoot. So I guess you can say Basketball Wives Miami is officially gone, but you’ll still see the ladies of Miami floating around.”
