A huge congratulations to Sherri Shepherd, who received a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday afternoon in Hollywood, California!
The 58-year-old actress and daytime talk show host was celebrated for her decades-long career in entertainment, surrounded by family, friends, and fans. Her proud son, Jeffrey Tarpley Jr., 20, was right by her side for the special moment.
The ceremony drew an impressive lineup of celebrity guests, including Tyler Perry, Niecy Nash-Betts, Loni Love, Sheila E., and Kym Whitley, all there to honor Sherri’s incredible journey and impact.
In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Sherri reflected on her faith and perseverance, telling Forbes, “I’m always thanking God, and knowing my why. I always believe God didn’t give me this talent for it to just fall on the ground and die. I just knew it was for something, but it took 30 years for me to realize it, because I wasn’t ready.”
For the big day, Sherri stunned in an elegant off-the-shoulder purple midi dress by Sergio Hudson, paired with chic heels a look as vibrant and confident as her personality.
