Dancing With the Stars Season 35 Is Ready to Take the Ballroom by Storm!
The countdown is officially on! Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars will make its grand return with an exciting two-night premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8:00 p.m. on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the following day on Hulu.
The celebrity cast and their professional dance partners were revealed today on ABC’s Good Morning America, setting the stage for another dazzling season of sequins, showstopping choreography and plenty of ballroom drama. Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, the new season promises to bring a fresh mix of stars to the dance floor.
Among this season’s celebrities is Tatyana Ali, a Harvard-educated, Broadway-trained actress, singer, writer, entrepreneur and activist whose impressive four-decade career spans beloved projects including Sesame Street, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Young and the Restless and her current recurring role on Abbott Elementary.
A five-time NAACP Image Award winner, Ali has expanded her talents well beyond acting. She is also a television producer and the founder of Baby Yams, a quilted-goods company that supports Black and Indigenous midwives and doulas. Her advocacy for Black maternal health has even taken her to Capitol Hill, where she has testified before Congress.
Music has also played a major role in Ali’s career. She earned a gold record for her 1998 debut album, Kiss the Sky, and received a GRAMMY® for her contribution to The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland soundtrack. She has also lent her voice to civic engagement, serving as a presidential campaign surrogate for President Obama in 2008 and 2012. Most recently, she added author to her résumé with the children’s book Aszi and the Octopus, published by Scholastic.
Also joining the ballroom this season is Ciara Miller, the model, television personality and former ICU nurse best known for her five-season run on Bravo’s Summer House. She also competed on the Emmy Award-winning third season of The Traitors.
Originally from Atlanta, Miller has built a name for herself in fashion and television with her signature blend of confidence, style and authenticity. She has walked the runway for major fashion labels and appeared in national campaigns for brands including Victoria’s Secret and L’Oréal Paris.
Her talents extend to the red carpet as well, where she has interviewed celebrities for major Hollywood studios including Apple and Warner Bros. Pictures. A passionate advocate for women’s health, equality, wellness, fashion and beauty, Miller is now based in New York City, where she lives with her beloved cat, Jasper.
And, of course, every celebrity will have a professional partner by their side as they take on the ballroom’s most challenging routines. The performances will be judged by the legendary panel of ballroom experts Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.
