Since this month is June, I thought to share with you some pictures from my family being on tv. It was a wedding themed show. A few years ago, my family won a room makeover on HGTV! Vern Yip was hosting a new show called, Deserving Design. I wrote in about our nuptials and how the photographer ran off with our money. We have no wedding pictures from our big day. The producers called us immediately and next thing I know, we were on the show lol.
At the time, we lived in a townhouse and we loved that place. We had just moved to Atlanta and we loved the space. We have moved since then but my kids loved that neighborhood. They filmed for 4 days and I remember it was 99 degrees outside in the month of July in 2006! We had to physically move out of the house and live with a friend, till they completely revamped the place.

Vern asked us what kind of decor we liked and separated my hubby and I in different rooms. They wanted to get his ideas and then mine.My hubby and I never been on a tropical vacation, so we both said we would love a beachy/resort looks. If it was left up to me, it would have been pink and flowers everywhere lol. We thought the room came out fantastic and was very satisfied. They also surprised us with a mini wedding reception in the backyard filled with close family, friends and neighbors. I can’t believe I didn’t think to wear pink, everything was moving so fast and I remember being drained from all the production.

It was a really special day, I hope you enjoy. Alecia Lauren also made us a wedding album too,now we have pictures lol. Alecia and I are still friends today, and she still shoots my family for our yearly Christmas card. Sometimes you can still catch a repeat of the segment on HGTV, the show is called, The Wedding Gift.
