Two-Time WNBA All-Star Angel Reese Joins The Hunting Wives Season 2

Netflix, Lionsgate, and 3Arts Entertainment announced yesterday that two-time WNBA All-Star Angel Reese will join Season 2 of the hit series The Hunting Wives in a co-starring role as “Trainer Barbie.”

Reese joins an expanded cast that includes newly announced additions Kim Matula, Alex FitzAlan, John Stamos, Dale Dickey, and Cam Gigandet, alongside returning cast members Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery, and Branton Box.

Currently in production in the United States, Season 2 will be released exclusively as a Netflix-branded series across nearly all countries where Netflix is available.

Created by Rebecca Cutter and based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives debuted in the U.S. on Netflix on July 21. Despite being available only in the U.S., the first season spent five consecutive weeks in Netflix’s Global English Top 10 TV list, generating more than 20 million views during that period.

Rebecca Cutter (Hightown) serves as creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer, with Erwin Stoff executive producing for 3Arts Entertainment, alongside Cobb.

At the start of the new season, Sophie and Margo find themselves at odds. However, old secrets and new adversaries soon force them back into each other’s orbit. As their dangerous games resume, one question looms large: Are they the hunters—or the hunted?
