Last night, The Accessories Council (Ac) hosted its annual Accessories Council Excellence Awards (ACE Awards) at the iconic Pierre Hotel in New York City. The gala honored and celebrated global brands, designers and trailblazers at the forefront of the fashion industry. The Ac named Bethann Hardison the 2025 Hall of Fame recipient and bestowed the inaugural Iconoclast ACE Award to Betsey Johnson.
The 2025 ACE Awards were presented in nine categories to designers, brands, retailers, and pioneers who have helped to enhance growth and awareness of the accessories industry. In addition, eight Legacy Honors paid tribute to businesses that have reached significant milestones, marking years of success through determination, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
I’ve had the absolute whirlwind joy of attending several of Betsey Johnson’s fashion shows during New York Fashion Week—and oh, what a ride! Her shows were the must-see events: bold, glittery, and bursting with energy! I’ve been lucky enough to meet the fabulous Betsey herself a few times—first in the hustle and bustle of NYC, then out in sunny California at a Lucky Magazine influencer event, and once more right here in Atlanta at a Macy’s appearance. She’s as sweet as can be and just as full of life as her designs! I’m over the moon to see her receiving this well-deserved award—an absolute icon!
