Celebrity Style: Julianne Hough’s Burgundy & Pink Set On Dancing with the Stars

Dancing With the Stars Season 35 Brings Super Bowl Glam, a Shocking Elimination, and Julianne Hough’s Bold Balenciaga Fashion!

Honey, football and ballroom dancing might seem like an unlikely combination, but Dancing With the Stars brought the two worlds together for its first-ever Super Bowl Night, and it was filled with music, memorable performances, fashion, and a bittersweet goodbye!

Season 35 contestants hit the ballroom floor to celebrate some of the biggest artists to ever grace the Super Bowl halftime stage. We’re talking J Balvin, Shakira, Nelly, Bad Bunny, Usher, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and the Black Eyed Peas! Now that’s what I call a playlist, okay!

The couples brought their own interpretations of these iconic performances, adding a little ballroom sparkle to the energy of football’s biggest night.

Guillermo Rodriguez Says Goodbye to the Ballroom

Unfortunately, somebody had to hang up their dancing shoes!

This week’s elimination sent Jimmy Kimmel Live! favorite Guillermo Rodriguez and his professional partner Witney Carson home after their salsa performance to Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó.”

The duo earned a score of 22 out of 40, landing at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Despite the disappointing results, Guillermo kept his spirits high and expressed gratitude for his time on the show, especially for Witney’s patience and dedication to teaching him how to dance.

And that’s what I love about Dancing With the Stars! Not everyone comes into the competition with dance experience, but watching these celebrities step outside their comfort zones is part of the magic. Guillermo brought his personality and humor to the ballroom, and you could tell he was having a ball!

Julianne Hough’s Balenciaga Outfit Has Everyone Talking!

Now, you already know I couldn’t recap Dancing With the Stars without discussing the fashion, honey!

This week, Julianne Hough stepped out in an edgy Balenciaga ensemble that definitely turned heads.

Her look featured a maroon leather crop top with matching arm-length gloves, paired with a dramatic light-pink feathered skirt and closed-toe pumps.

It was bold, unexpected, and a little rebellious!

Not everyone on social media was feeling the fashion moment, though. Some viewers questioned the styling and whether the pieces worked together.

But here’s my take!

Fashion is supposed to be fun, expressive, and sometimes a little daring!

Personally, I thought the outfit reflected Julianne’s spicy personality. She’s never been afraid to take a fashion risk, and I appreciate someone who doesn’t always play it safe.

Would I have styled those particular pieces together? Probably not, lol! I think the leather top and feathered skirt could each make a fabulous statement when styled separately.

But I absolutely see the vision!

The contrast between the structured leather and soft, feminine feathers was interesting. And of course, you know the light-pink skirt caught my attention because pink will always have my heart!

What makes this fashion moment even more interesting is how it balances toughness with femininity. It’s a little rock star, a little high fashion, and definitely not your typical ballroom hosting outfit.

My Personal Experience Meeting Julianne Hough

Here’s something else I wanted to share!

I’ve actually had the pleasure of meeting Julianne Hough in person, and she was an absolute gem! She was so down-to-earth, sweet, and personable.

Sometimes you meet celebrities and wonder whether their personalities will match what you see on television. In Julianne’s case, I walked away with a wonderful impression.

That’s another reason I enjoy seeing her experiment with fashion. She has such a vibrant personality, and I think her wardrobe often reflects that playful energy.

A Night of Music, Fashion, and Ballroom Memories

Between the Super Bowl-inspired performances, Guillermo’s emotional exit, and Julianne’s conversation-starting Balenciaga ensemble, this episode certainly gave us plenty to discuss!

I’m always here for a little sparkle, fabulous costumes, and celebrities taking chances, whether they’re learning a new dance or stepping onto the stage in an unexpected designer look.

And while Guillermo’s journey has come to an end, I hope he walks away proud of himself for trying something completely different.

As for Julianne, keep taking those fashion risks, girl! Even when everyone doesn’t agree with the outfit, at least you’re giving us something to talk about!

Now tell me, what did you think of Julianne Hough’s maroon leather and pink feathered Balenciaga look? Was it a fashion hit or a miss? And were you sad to see Guillermo leave the ballroom?
