Kevin Hart on His Family’s Reaction to His Roast

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart stopped by to discuss everything from basketball rivalries to comedy roasts and his latest audiobook, Kids Make Me Angry.

Hart shared his thoughts on the New York Knicks sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers and admitted he’s always pulling for the East Coast when it comes to the NBA Finals. A longtime courtside fixture, he also opened up about his reputation for playfully heckling players during games, recalling memorable moments with NBA stars including Dwyane Wade, James Harden, and his close friend LeBron James. Hart joked about calling out LeBron one minute and then sitting down to play cards with him the next.

As a devoted New Yorker, Hart also expressed his excitement for fellow Knicks superfan Spike Lee, who has spent decades cheering on the team through its highs and lows.

The conversation then turned to comedy, with Hart reflecting on the wildly popular The Roast of Tom Brady. He revealed which joke caught him completely off guard, shared how his family reacted to the no-holds-barred event, and even weighed in on which celebrity he thinks should be roasted next.

Never one to shy away from competition, Hart also joked about the legacy of shorter players in the NBA and proudly revisited his victory over Draymond Green in a three-point shooting contest.

From sports trash talk and celebrity friendships to comedy and family life, Hart brought his signature humor and energy while promoting his new audiobook, Kids Make Me Angry, a hilarious collection of observations on parenting, life, and the everyday moments that drive him crazy.
