In a fan-favorite segment, “Wear It Up or Tear It Up,” Sherri took things to a whole new octave—recreating none other than André 3000’s unforgettable Met Gala look, complete with a piano on her back!
André had the internet buzzing when he literally struck a chord by showing up to the Met Gala with a grand piano strapped to his shoulders—and you know Sherri had to ask: should we Wear It Up or Tear It Up?
The last time André 3000 attended the Met Gala, he made his entrance through the kitchen—literally.
“I rarely do red carpets,” he recalled of his unconventional 2008 appearance. “So we came up with this plan for me to sneak in through the bottom of the building. I’m walking through the kitchen in a tux, dapping up the cooks, having the best time. It felt like a stealth mission—James Bond meets fine dining.”
Fast-forward to the 2025 Met Gala, and André delivered a moment only he could dream up: the OutKast icon, woodwind wizard, and sartorial enigma arrived with a grand piano strapped to his back—yes, a full-on piano. As if that weren’t enough, he dropped a surprise EP en route to the museum. Classic André: unexpected, poetic, and undeniably unforgettable. See more photos inside and video clip…
