Talk show host Sherri Shepherd welcomed Vice President Kamala Harris to Sherri for the very first time! They talked about Vice President Kamala Harris officiating her stepson’s wedding, but Sherri’s license to marry people still hasn’t been approved, oh my! Later, Sherri said that she was ready for a girls trip and invited President Harris to accompany her. President Harris met her husband of ten years at a dinner party and Sherri told her that she wanted to join her for Sunday dinner lol.
Kamala Harris is the first female, first Black, and first South Asian Vice President of the United States. Before becoming Vice President, Harris served as a United States Senator from California.
She is a graduate of Howard University, a historically Black university, and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris is known for her advocacy work, particularly on issues such as criminal justice reform, immigration, and healthcare.
She was the Attorney General of California before serving in the Senate, making her the first woman of color to hold that office. Harris is also the second person of color and the first woman to hold the office of Vice President in U.S. history.
She is married to Douglas Emhoff, who is the first Second Gentleman of the United States, making him the first Jewish spouse of a Vice President.
